Yea, I just installed the ubuntu-device-flash-bin package and I do not have this issue anymore..

@jayywolff What does the command "ubuntu-device-flash query" output? If it is not "the required flag `--device' was not specified", can you send me your binary (/usr/bin/ubuntu-device-flash) somehow?
EDIT: I recompiled right now and have the same issue.
EDIT 2: also the -bzr version is broken, probably due to a broken dependency. In the build process, you get the error messages that some libraries on launchpad.net could not be found ("status code 404") :/
EDIT 3: Please try ubuntu-device-flash-bin.

Every time I run the command ubuntu-device-flash with any parameters I get the stderr message "Unknown command `ubuntu-device-flash'. Please specify one command of: core, personal, query or touch".

Ex. when I run "ubuntu-device-flash --help" I get the error message.

@jayywolff type "ubuntu-device-flash --help" to see the available options.

jayywolff commented on 2016-06-08 13:55

No matter what command I throw at it I always get:

"Unknown command `ubuntu-device-flash'. Please specify one command of: core, personal, query or touch"

Thanks. Updated it.

Sorry, I was on vacation. Sure, I'll orphan it.

@Tempel https://gist.github.com/z3ntu/9a96d54cc5443fb8d3ecb73de92cc289 . btw I have actually no idea that it really works completely as I don't have any device to use it with (yet). I know just know "ubuntu-device-flash query" works.

z3ntu, can you post a link to your PKGBUILD? That way, others could test it out while waiting for olivervbk to respond.

I have a working PKGBUILD for ubuntu-device-flash. Can you add me as co-maintainer or orphan the package?
